The View Nest

The View Nest is the world's first rotatable treetop huts for accommodation and tourist use. Built in a large pine tree, it features innovative design and functionality. You can rotate the hut 360 degrees to the desired sun and view direction.

Information about The View Nest

The View Nest electric underfloor heating. There is a kitchenette with an oven, coffee maker, and refrigerator.

There are six beds in the cabin. One of the double beds is a "floating bed" that can be raised and lowered, offering a beautiful view through the panoramic window of the
fireplace, bird feeder, and small pond. The sofa and coffee table are used to make the second double bed. The other part of the sofa can be used as a sleeping area, and the last bed is built up under the roof and is best suited for children or agile adults.
The interior is built with rustic recycled materials and exciting solutions at different
height levels. 

The airy roof terrace, approximately 10 meters above the ground, features a barbecue, outdoor fireplace, and dining area. Two hammocks that you can hang on the roof terrace are included.

From the cabin, there is a sweeping view and overview of the small lake where you can play with a canoe, and in winter, the ski trail is only 50 meters from the cabin.
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in this cabin.

Location

The View Nest is located on Danseråsen, 620 meters above sea level. You can park behind Tretopphyttenes service house 300 meters from the cabin, or drive all the way to the front when the road allows it. It is also possible to charge your electric car outside our service house.

    We have created a short nature trail that starts behind The Lavvo on Danseråsen. It is suitable for families with children and can be used in spring, summer, and fall.
  • Canoeing

    There are small bodies of water, dammed or natural, at all of the Treetop Cabins, except at Furu and The Climbing Hut.
  • Off-road bikes

    The tree houses are built in communal forests with an extensive network of forest roads with little traffic – ideal for cycling trips.
  • Snowshoes

    We have four pairs of snowshoes available for free use by our Tretopphyttegjester guests, except at The Climbing Hut. The snowshoes are hung on the cabin wall, railing, or in the outdoor shed.
  • Kick supports

    At Tretopphyttene, apart from The Climbing Hut, there are old-fashioned winter conditions with excellent skiing conditions for much of the winter.
  • Ski trails

    The tree houses are located in areas with an early and stable ski season, except for The Climbing Hut is located by Lake Mjøsa.
  • Climbing park

    Tretopphyttene collaborates with Helgøya . Norway's most beautiful and the largest inland! It consists of 9 trails, 13 ziplines - a total of 142 climbing elements.
  • Wilderness lavvo

    Along the forest road at the top of Danseråsen , we Danseråsen set up a lavvo with sleeping accommodation for up to eight people on beds and camp beds.
