The Climbing Hut

The Climbing Hut Located right next to theHelgøya Climbing Park, surrounded by forests and nature. Here you’ll stay high up among the trees, with the climbing park as your closest neighbor and plenty of opportunities for activities and adventures.
As a guest of Tretopphytter.no, you’ll receive a 10% discount at Helgøya Klatrepark, and it’s just a short walk from the cabin to the park’s shelter with a fire pit. Here, you can gather around the fire after an active day, or simply enjoy the peace and quiet of the forest.

The cabin is equipped with electricity, a stove, a refrigerator, and a coffee maker. On the porch, you can make “ Food ” on a griddle over a gas burner. There is no fire pit at the cabin, but the fire pit at the climbing park’s shelter is right nearby.

Sleep high up under the starry sky
The loft has two large sleeping areas with 150 cm-wide beds, one on each side of the stairs. Through the large skylights, you can look straight up at the starry sky as darkness falls.
On the main floor, you’ll find a cozy sleeping alcove with a 120 x 200 cm bed. This space has both a window and a skylight, so it, too, gets plenty of light and brings you close to nature.
The last two sleeping spots are on the sofa in the living room. There is sleeping space for up to eight people in total, but naturally, it gets quite crowded then. For a family or a group of friends looking to combine lodging with activities, The Climbing Hut is a great base.

Climbing, biking, and paddling
The climbing park is, of course, the biggest attraction right outside the door. But the area also offers several other options.
If you’d like to experience Lake Mjøsa from the water, you can rent canoes and kayaks through Infoteket in Tingnes. There, you can also rent regular bikes and e-bikes to explore Helgøya and the surrounding areas.

The Climbing Hut is located quite a distance from our other Tretop huts at Danseråsen. The meeting point for the dog-sledding and Sleigh ride activities we offer is about a 45-minute drive from The Climbing Hut.

Good to Know
The Climbing Hut is somewhat isolated and has a different location and experience profile than our other Tretop huts. We therefore do not offer food delivery to The Climbing Hut. Instead, we provide facilities so you can prepare your own meals in the kitchen or on the grill on the porch.
The Climbing Hut is particularly well-suited for those who want to combine a stay in the treetops with climbing, biking, kayaking, and other active adventures —while still being close to the forest and the starry sky.
