At the Top of the Forest – Luxury and Tranquility

Welcome to Forest View —a truly unique cabin high above the ground, built on stilts at the highest point of the forest. Here you’ll find a combination of modern comfort, luxury, and genuine closeness to nature, with a view that makes it easy to lose track of time.

The cabin is nearly 50 m² spread over two floors and is completely secluded, with no neighbors or distracting lights. You’ll arrive via your own private road and can park right next to the cabin. Here, you’ll feel like you’re far away from everyday life, yet it’s still easy to get here.

Forest View isn't a treehouse, but we've incorporated the experience we've gained from seven Tretop huts and many years of work creating unique nature experiences into the floor plan, interior design, and practical solutions.

The cabin has been renovated with a clear focus on comfort, high-quality materials, thoughtful details, and that cozy cabin feel. Large windows bring the outdoors in, and throughout the cabin, you’re connected to the forest, the treetops, and the breathtaking view.

Here, you can wake up to the sunrise, watch the light spread across the landscape throughout the day, and see the sun disappear behind the horizon in the evening. When darkness falls, there is little light pollution—and the conditions are ideal for enjoying the starry sky.

Your own view and a wood-fired hot tub

Outside, there's a large, sheltered porch with a wood-fired hot tub that seats up to six people. Here, you can soak in the warm water and simply enjoy the view.

Before you lie the forest and the treetops, the landscape, and parts of Lake Mjøsa—with the sky as a backdrop. The view changes constantly with the seasons, the weather, and the light.

Forest View is a place to relax. A place where you can light a fire in the fireplace, cook a delicious Food, curl up in a cozy bed, take a bath under the open sky, and let your gaze wander far out across the landscape.

Forest View is for those who want more than just a typical cabin vacation—a private retreat offering luxury, stunning views, and nature right at your doorstep.

Check-in is at 5 p.m. Check-out is at 2 p.m.

Location

Forest View is located in Kompåsen. The road leads all the way to the cabin, but in winter you can park at the bottom of the last hill; it's about an 80-meter walk from there.
