How much does it cost to rent a treehouse?

Which cabin is suitable for a couple?
None of the cabins will be too big for you. The cabins are between 12-17 m2, but the size of the verandas varies. Many couples choose The Pine Hut is the smallest of the tree top cabins.
Do we have to share the cabin with anyone else?
You always have the cabin to yourself with your travel companions.
How do we pay?
You pay when you book online, just like in an online store.
When is check-in and check-out at the cabins?
There are different check-in and check-out times for our tree houses. The View Nest: check-in at 1 p.m. and check-out at 11 a.m. The Pine Hut: check-in at 2 p.m. and check-out at 12 noon. Lerk and The Sky Hut: check-in at 3 p.m. and check-out at 1 p.m. Gran and The Birch Hut: check-in at 4 p.m. and check-out at 2 p.m. The Climbing Hut: check-in at 5 p.m. and check-out at 3 p.m.
Where can we find the tree houses?
In Ringsaker, between Hamar and Lillehammer. 1.5 hours north of Oslo. The Climbing Hut on Helgøya Lake Mjøsa.
Can we order Food?
You can order both dinner and breakfast. The food is delivered to the cabin before your arrival, and you can easily heat up the dinner yourself.

Can we bring our dog?
Yes, in all cabins The View Nest. It is important that dogs stay on the floor and not on the sofa or beds. NB! Bring a dog bag.
Which season is the best?
This also depends on when you think nature is at its most beautiful and what activities you want to do during your stay (Sleigh ride, horseback riding, dog sledding, skiing, cycling, berry picking, canoeing, swimming, orreli). Stormy weather with wind and rain can also be very exciting and create a cozy atmosphere.
Which Treetop hut I choose?
The tree houses have their own charm, and it is difficult for us to say which cabin would suit you best. The cabins range from 12-17m2 in floor space, so none of them will seem too big for two people! The Pine Hut the smallest of the cabins and offers the least comfort, while The Birch Hut the most space both inside and outside on the veranda. All tree houses, except The Pine Hut, have hot and cold running water taps and showers. They have a composting toilet in the cabin in addition to an outdoor toilet on the ground floor, as well as electricity. The Pine Hut somewhat simpler and smaller in size – intimate and cozy, perfect for 2-4 people, but can accommodate up to 6 people. The Pine Hut only The Pine Hut an outdoor toilet. Guests are responsible for cleaning and tidying up themselves – i.e. we do not provide daily cleaning unless it has been booked. Dog sledding is available outside Gran and The Birch Hut. Guests staying at The Sky Hut drive approximately 1.5 km for dog sledding, while guests staying at The Larch Hut 7 km. The distance is even further for Furu and The Climbing Hut.

As a guest at Tretopphyttene, you get a 10% discount at the Climbing Park.
If you are traveling with a group and need more than one cabin, we recommend Gran and The Birch Hut. These are located approximately 200 meters apart. We also have The Lavvo is a short walk away from these.
What are the fishing opportunities like at Tretopphyttene?

What do we need to bring with us?
Drinking water, indoor shoes, flashlight/headlamp, bedding/sleeping bag (duvets/pillows are provided in the cabin), charcoal for barbecuing (if desired), Food beverages. Space is limited in the tree cabins, so please do not bring too much. An information letter will be sent to guests after booking.
Can we order bed linen and towels?
Yes, it costs NOK 149 per bed set. We provide towels and bed linen in the cabin, and guests must put on the bed linen themselves and take it off before departure.

Is there a coffee maker in the cabin?
There are coffee makers in The View Nest The Climbing Hut. We recommend bringing instant coffee.
What about cancellations?
If you cancel more than 30 days before arrival, everything will be refunded minus a booking fee of NOK 390. However, changing your stay is free of charge. For cancellations and changes made between 30 and 15 days prior to arrival, 50% will be refunded. For cancellations or changes made less than 15 days prior to arrival, no refund will be given. If you need to cancel due to illness, we recommend that you check whether your travel insurance covers this.
What about cleaning?
Yes, cleaning costs NOK 499. This can be ordered at the time of booking or ordered online later. Please note: Dishwashing is not included.
Is there public transportation to Tretopphyttene?
No, unfortunately! You will need to either drive yourself or take the train to Brumunddal. It is possible to take a taxi from the train station. We can often arrange pick-up. price NOK 500 per car with room for 4 people. Please send us an email if you plan to arrive by train.
Are there squirrels at all the cabins?
There are usually squirrels at the feeding stations at all Treetop Cabins.
Are there canoes at the cabins?
Yes, except at Furu and The Climbing Hut there is no water right next to the cabin. Two paddles and two life jackets are included. We recommend bringing your own life jacket for small children. You can rent kayaks through "Infoteket" in Tingnes.
