The Sky Hut

The Sky Hut is a cozy treehouse with skylights and a veranda wrapping around the entire cabin. Here, you’ll have the peninsula all to yourself, surrounded by nature and fishing lakes —with magnificent views right outside your door.

On the veranda, the bird feeders are frequently visited by both small birds and squirrels, while trout dart through the water around the cabin. If you’re lucky, you’ll also get to see the cranes landing at the water’s edge and strutting about with their characteristic trumpeting calls.
A canoe, paddles, and life jackets are available for free use, and you’re welcome to take a trip out on the water or try your hand at fishing from the canoe.

Through the skylights in the loft , you can enjoy panoramic views of nature—and fall asleep under the starry sky. The loft has 120-cm-wide mattresses on either side of the stairs. On the main floor, you’ll find a sleeping alcove for two (120×200 cm), and it’s also possible for one person to sleep on the sofa bench. The cabin sleeps up to seven people.

Skiing and Outdoor Activities
Veldre Almenning offers a well-developed network of varied and well-groomed ski trails. From The Sky Hut , you’ll need to walk or drive about one kilometer to The Lavvo and the Gran and Bjørk treehouse cabins, where you’ll access the trail network.
