Close to animals and nature

The nature experiences at the cabins are close and intense. Bonfires and barbecues, eight meters up in the trees, with a beautiful view of wilderness nature.

Birds and squirrels eating out of your hand, silence, wind and the sun's passage through the treetops, moonlight and shooting stars in the dark night sky.

Northern Lights activity in southern Norway is rare, but great to see from Tretopphyttene when it first appears.

Watch the fish wade in the waters at Himmel and The Larch Hut, or study the different bird species that are attracted to the waters.

Moose are often seen, and wild reindeer also roam the area in summer and autumn. On the moors at Furu, Gran and The Birch Hut , the black grouse can be seen from the cabins without disturbing the game.

Bear tracks have been seen at the edge of the bog, as have golden eagles, foxes, martens and ospreys.

We conduct nature-adapted feeding of birds and animals in the area. Small birds, squirrels, woodpeckers and nuthatches are regular guests. They delight both children and adults with their presence on the treetop veranda throughout the year.
