Sleigh ride
Sleigh ride incredibly atmospheric with torches and bells at dusk, or when darkness has fallen over the forest. Both sleighs and wheeled carriages are used. The trip takes you along quiet forest roads where cars are rarely seen.
Experienced drivers, Morten and Stian, and calm Fjord horses ensure a harmonious experience in the forest. There are fur rugs and blankets in the sleigh/carriage, and drinks are served along the way, included in the price. The trip takes about an hour. The largest sleigh can accommodate up to 8 people, and the trip is only conducted with your travel group.
The meeting point is at The Lavvo on Danseråsen a 2-minute walk from Tretopphytta Gran, 5 minutes from Bjørk and approx. 20 minutes from The Sky Hut faster and more fun if you use the kick sleds available at the cabins. For those staying at Gran or The Birch Hut , arrangements The Birch Hut be made for the driver to pick you up by horse and sleigh at the cabin. If the temperature is below -15, the sleigh ride will be canceled.
From The Larch Hut , it The Larch Hut approx. a 5-minute drive to the meeting point, and from The Pine Hut minutes. Helgøya you are coming all the way from The Climbing Hut Helgøya you should allow approx. 45 minutes' driving time.
