The Climbers hut is the newest of our six Tree Top huts.
The Tree Top Hut have rented a beautiful forest site on the Island Helgøya, where we have built the treehouse Klatrehytta ( Climbing Hut) in cooperation with Pete Nelsson, Treehouse Masters, Animal Planet and Helgøya Klatrepark in spring 2017. Also called: A treehouse fit for a viking. Look at amazon pictures from the climbing hut: https://www.nelsontreehouse.co...
The Climbing hut is located in the community Ringsaker, less than 1 1/2 hours drive from Oslo airport.
The hut is built in an adult pine forest with snning views over the lake Mjøsa and across to Skreifjella. Helgøya is an island (you can easily go there by car) in the middle of Mjøsa with a magnificent cultural landscape where the forest floor is covered by blue flowers early in the spring. Here you can do some activities, with Helgøya Climbing Park as the closest neighbor. Helgøya Climbing Park is open every day during school holidays, weekends and also receives groups on weekdays otherwise in the year. You are welcome to book activities at the Climbing Park as a guest the Climbing hut, visit their homepage for more information: https://helgoyaklatrepark.no/i...
The Climbing hut is built on good experiences from our other treeehouses, the Skyhut and the Birchhut, and has a safe and solid staircase up to the cabin. But unlike our other treetop hut, it is much closer to Mjøsa and in new surroundings, and there is electricity in the hut. An intimate, wood-fired and cozy wooden hut with skylights over the beds. The hut has a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom, wc, shower, as well an outhouse on the ground. There is space for up to 8 people in the hut. On the loft there are two 150cm wide mattresses with space for four people, and in the sleeping alcove, which has a 120cm wide mattress, it accommodates two people. Otherwise it can sleep two people on the corner sofa.
7 meters above ground level, on an airy veranda, well placed in rustic chairs you can enjoy yourself and cook on the grill. We have feeded the birds and animals during the winter so that they can become daily guests at the cabin.
The guests also have a opportunity to book dog sledding and horse sleighing. Important to tell that the dog sledding is about 45 minutes drive away! Horse sleighing is nearby the hut.
