Unique Tretop huts

Our tree houses are authentic, unique, rustic, sustainable, and built 8-10 meters up in living trees. Some have sleeping lofts with skylights. The cabins are scattered throughout the forest, undisturbed from each other, 1 hour north of Oslo Airport with easy access and Parking the cabin. They are equipped with everything you need for a comfortable overnight stay: a wood-burning stove, a fully equipped kitchen, a toilet, a shower, an airy terrace with bird feeders, and a fire pit. Prepare Food own Food, or order it from us for delivery to the cabin before arrival: game or vegetarian, local and home-baked.

All tree top cabins are perfect for a couple, as they will not seem too large. Some have sleeping space for up to 8 people if you want to stay close together. If there are more of you, we recommend booking several cabins. The Birch Hut The Spruce Hut only 300m apart and are often booked if there are several families or couples on a trip.

Beautiful views, and squirrels, woodpeckers, jays, and other small birds entertain you on the terrace – some will even eat out of your hand. Moose, reindeer, deer, foxes, and elk can sometimes be seen. Canoes with paddles and life jackets are available for free use on the small lakes, and there are opportunities for swimming. The forest road network is extensive. Two off-road bikes are included, and more can be rented. Nature trails, berry picking, climbing, and fishing. Kick sleds and snowshoes are included. Step right out onto groomed ski trails. Dog sledding or Sleigh ride can be booked. Between the fall and winter holidays, you will arrive to a warm cabin and lit outdoor lanterns. A magical arrival!

    There are small lakes, natural or dammed, at all Tree Top Cabins except The Pine Hut The Climbing Hut. These small lakes are best suited for canoeing.

  • Nature trail

    We have created a short nature trail that starts behind The Lavvo on Danseråsen. It is suitable for families with children and can be used in spring, summer, and fall.

  • Canoeing

    There are small bodies of water, dammed or natural, at all of the Treetop Cabins, except at Furu and The Climbing Hut.

  • Off-road bikes

    The tree houses are built in communal forests with an extensive network of forest roads with little traffic – ideal for cycling trips.

  • Snowshoes

    We have four pairs of snowshoes available for free use by our Tretopphyttegjester guests, except at The Climbing Hut. The snowshoes are hung on the cabin wall, railing, or in the outdoor shed.

  • Kick supports

    At Tretopphyttene, apart from The Climbing Hut, there are old-fashioned winter conditions with excellent skiing conditions for much of the winter.

  • Ski trails

    The tree houses are located in areas with an early and stable ski season, except for The Climbing Hut is located by Lake Mjøsa.

  • Climbing park

    Tretopphyttene collaborates with Helgøya climbing park. Norway's most beautiful and Innlandet's largest! It consists of 9 trails, 13 ziplines - a total of 142 climbing elements

  • Wilderness lavvo

    Along the forest road at the top of Danseråsen , we Danseråsen set up a lavvo with sleeping accommodation for up to eight people on beds and camp beds.
