The latest addition and one of the two more exclusive treetophuts, the Spruce hut is built in the crowns of oldSpruce trees. 25 feet above ground with an striking view of a pond, a big marsh and the beautifully billowing hills of the norwegian forrests. This cabin is even more uniquely equipped with a 40 meter long wooden ramp winding its way in between the Spruce trees, making it easily accessible for the disabled, more specifically, wheelchair users. To our knowledge, this cabin is unique even on a world basis.
The Spruce hut comfortably houses 6-8 people.
A place surrounded by calming silence, beautiful nature and close up wildlife. On clear nights it is perfect for enjoying the starry skies and the silence of the night, perhaps with someone you love.
The Spruce hut was finished not long ago and is per today not available in our online booking system.
However it is fully possible to book the cabin:

Like the other cabins the Spruce hut is equipped with a gas oven with cocking plates, a fridge, sink and all you may require of pots and pans, cutlery and glasses.

A beautiful winter view in the blue, cold light of the moon. The porch lit by big candle lamps giving of a wonderfully warming light.

45 square feet of cabin with a separate bedroom with a double bed, plus sleeping racks with two double beds in the main room with outstanding view over the surrounding landscape and the birds and squirrels just a few feet from the window. Wooden stove with glass door, gas oven with plates, fridge, shower possibilities, bio toilet, and an outdoor toilet on the ground. The hut also has all you may require in the way of pots and pans, cutlery and glasses. Wood, gas and candles are included.
The Spruce hut, like both the other huts is fully winter isolated so very little heat escapes from the rooms. As this hut is specially designed for wheelchair users, it has wider doors, no thresholds and other carefully thought out solutions, making it very utilizable. The hut has been tested by wheelchair users, with good feedback.
A large and cosy porch with warming reindeer skin over the wooden benches you can enjoy the stunning view over open landscape, hills and a pound whilst cocking or just soaking up the heat from the mid-porch fireplace. On the marsh in front of the cabin, the blackcocks play and perform for their female equals on any spring morning, and sometimes also autumn and winter.
There is an abundance of small birds and squirrels on and around the porch. We can guarantee our gusts the experience of meeting these creatures, at only an arms length. The woodpecker visits often several times a day, and moose not no surprising sight here.
On the marsh just beneath the cabin starts a great network of skiing tracks spanning a wast area of the Ringsaker forrests. In summer there are cycling roads that spans an even waster area. Maps of both skiing tracks and cycling roads can be found in the cabin.
